Lifetime now part of the Booster group
We're delighted to share some exciting news. On 30 October 2026, Booster became Lifetime's parent company.
This is a great step forward for Lifetime and for you. It brings together two New Zealand businesses that have worked side by side since 1998, with a common purpose: Booster is on a mission to build the financial resilience of every New Zealander, with Lifetime helping clients to create greater financial certainty through all life stages.
Most importantly, the people you know and trust are staying right here with you.
What you need to know
Advice that puts you first. Your needs stay at the centre of every piece of advice we give, and you'll continue to have access to a wide range of products and providers.
Your adviser stays the same. Your relationship with your Lifetime adviser continues just as it is today.
Your arrangements stay the same. There are no planned changes to your insurance, investments, KiwiSaver, lending or other arrangements as a result of this acquisition.
Lifetime stays Lifetime. Our name, our team and our leadership remain in place.
There's nothing you need to do.
A partnership more than 25 years in the making
Lifetime and the Booster group have worked together since 1998 to support Lifetime clients. Booster is a New Zealand-owned financial services group providing KiwiSaver, investment and other financial services to New Zealanders.
Booster supported the creation of Lifetime and our relationship has continued since. On 30 October 2026, that connection took the form of Booster's majority ownership of Lifetime with some Lifetime shareholders holding a minority stake in the Booster group. This acquisition takes a long-standing, trusted relationship to the next level, and we're looking forward to it becoming even closer.
What this means for you
You'll keep getting the same warm, personal advice from the people you know. Behind the scenes, being part of a larger New Zealand financial services group gives Lifetime:
Strong, long-term backing
to keep growing and investing in the advice and support we provide
More room to invest
in our advisers, our tools and your client experience
Stability and continuity
with the same local team and leadership looking after you
Our promise: advice that puts you first
On 30 October 2026, Booster became Lifetime's owner, and some of our advisers became Booster group shareholders or have the option to. This means Lifetime's owner and some advisers may benefit financially when clients invest in Booster products.
What won't change is how we advise you. Our advice is always about what's best for you:
No additional remuneration or other incentive will be received by our advisers for recommending any product, including Booster products
All advice goes through our internal compliance and quality review processes
Our Conflicts of Interest Policy applies to all advice, including any recommendation to invest in or withdraw from Booster products, and is available on request
You can read the full details in our public disclosure document.
What happens next
Day to day, it's business as usual. Over the coming months, the Lifetime Board and leadership team will work closely with Booster to make the move to new ownership smooth and seamless.
