About Chris

After finishing school, Chris began his career with Barclays Bank in South Africa, where he quickly discovered a passion for customer service and sales. His commitment to clients and natural ability in sales saw him become one of the top Sales Consultants in the country before being promoted to Sales Manager.

In 1997, Chris chose to become a Financial Adviser. After completing training in investments, insurance, and risk management, he returned to the same bank, this time in a professional advisory role.

Chris moved to New Zealand in 2004. After spending a season working on a dairy farm, he reentered the banking industry and once again rose to become one of the country’s top Wealth Specialists, later moving into a leadership role managing a team of Financial Advisers. He then took on an exciting opportunity to help launch Westpac’s KiwiSaver offering in the South Island as a Business Development Manager.

Across his career, Chris has built a reputation for strong relationships, active listening, quality advice, and outstanding customer service. His clients value his genuine care, practical approach, and deep industry knowledge.

Work–life balance is important to Chris. Outside of the office, he is an accomplished wildlife and portrait artist, having exhibited both in New Zealand and internationally. Staying physically active is equally important; Chris and his wife founded a social running club that has quickly become one of the fastest growing groups in Canterbury. He also represents New Zealand in the Masters category for both javelin and discus.

Neither Lifetime nor I have been subject to a reliability event. A reliability event is something that might influence you in deciding whether to seek advice from either myself or Lifetime. As an example, this would be a serious event such as legal proceedings against me, or bankruptcy in the last four years.
