About Shanna

During my legal career, I worked in a wide range of insurance areas, with expertise in maritime and transportation law, where I regularly acted for cargo insurers pursuing recovery actions for loss of cargo carried by sea, air and road. I also acted for a wide range of professionals including architects, engineers, builders, accountants and lawyers, giving advice on liability and property issues.

More recently, for the past 6 years I've owned a financial services company with my husband before merging our business with Lifetime. As a commercial insurance broker, I've worked with all types of clients, from SMEs to government agencies working on large construction and infrastructure projects, as well as looking after corporate clients including NZX listed companies.

My role at Lifetime now involves heading up the fire & general team across the country to provide domestic and commercial insurance solutions for our clients.

My background as an insurance lawyer has enabled me to design bespoke risk management programmes, interpret technical policy wordings and handle complex claims, which is a great benefit to my clients. I believe we best serve our clients by taking away all the guess work and confusion and providing them with a solution they know they can trust, with top-notch customer service.
